La Salita Barbera offers up bright aromas of sour and red cherries. It’s cheerful palate repeats the red cherry note with an added floral lift. Discover Grazie Grazie Pizzeria

If you’ve ever strolled down 610 N Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States, you’ve probably caught the irresistible aroma of wood-fired dough and bubbling mozzarella drifting from Grazie Grazie Pizzeria. I stopped in on a busy Friday evening after a long beach walk, sandy flip-flops and all, and within minutes I understood why locals keep talking about this place in their reviews.

The vibe is relaxed but lively, exactly what you’d expect from a coastal pizzeria that knows its craft. You order at the counter, glance over a thoughtfully curated menu, and watch the open kitchen in action. There’s something reassuring about seeing pizzaiolos stretch the dough by hand, ladle house-made tomato sauce, and slide each pie into a blazing oven. According to the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, authentic Neapolitan-style pizza depends on high heat and simple ingredients. While this isn’t a strict certification spot, the technique here clearly respects those principles-thin crust, airy edges, and balanced toppings.

On my first visit, I went classic: Margherita. Fresh mozzarella, San Marzano-style tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. It arrived with a perfectly blistered crust-charred in spots but still tender in the center. The texture matters. Food scientists often point out that contrast drives flavor perception; the crisp exterior and soft interior make each bite more satisfying. You can taste that attention to detail here. The sauce isn’t overly sweet, and the cheese doesn’t overwhelm. Everything works together.

Another night, I tried one of their specialty pizzas loaded with spicy salami and roasted vegetables. The heat from the salami paired surprisingly well with the subtle sweetness of the caramelized peppers. It’s a reminder that good pizza isn’t just about piling on toppings; it’s about proportion and balance. The staff mentioned they source many ingredients locally when possible, which aligns with what the National Restaurant Association has reported-diners increasingly value fresh, regionally sourced food. You can sense that commitment in the flavor.

Beyond pizza, the menu includes crisp salads, shareable appetizers, and a small but smart selection of desserts. I once ordered a simple arugula salad with shaved Parmesan and lemon vinaigrette as a starter. It cut through the richness of the pizza beautifully. If you’re dining with family, it’s easy to mix and match items. I’ve seen groups split multiple pies, comparing crusts and toppings like seasoned critics.

Service has been consistently friendly in my experience. During one visit, I asked about their dough fermentation process, and the staff explained they allow it to rest long enough to develop flavor and digestibility. That slow fermentation isn’t just a trend; culinary experts often explain that extended proofing breaks down complex carbohydrates, which can make pizza easier on the stomach. While individual tolerance varies, I personally felt comfortably full rather than weighed down.

The location itself adds to the charm. Being right in Laguna Beach means you can grab a slice after exploring art galleries or watching the sunset. The casual setup makes it easy to pop in for a quick lunch, but it’s equally suited for a laid-back dinner with friends. Online reviews frequently mention the welcoming atmosphere and consistent quality, and based on multiple visits, I’d agree. Of course, peak hours can mean a short wait, especially on weekends, so timing your visit helps.

What stands out most is the consistency. Good restaurants can have a great night; reliable restaurants deliver every time. From the elasticity of the dough to the bright acidity of the tomato sauce, there’s a clear system in place. It’s not flashy or overcomplicated. It’s simply well-executed pizza served in a setting that feels authentically Laguna.

If you’re exploring dining options along Coast Highway and craving a satisfying slice, this pizzeria earns its reputation the old-fashioned way: through craftsmanship, quality ingredients, and a menu that keeps people coming back for just one more bite.

  • Wow..I came here to try their pizzas because I'm a huge fan of Italian style pizzas and this really hit the spot. I wanted to 4 pizzas so I got the burrata and truffles (favorite) , sausage, Puglia (pecorino, garlic, sausage,) , and Bianca Verde. But one thing I need to say is Bianca Verde is a must try. I've tried fig pizzas and other delicious combinations from other restaurants but never have i tried pesto honey pistachio pizza before (Bianca verde). I would definitely come back just to try their Bianca Verde one more time because it was that good!!! I also enjoyed their house salad because it had a lemon vinegarette sauce which I really loved inside the arugula. I also got a few sodas to pair with my meal which was perfect with all the carbs. The sodas I ordered were Sprite and the silician orange soda !! I am so so glad I stopped by today because I would have regretted not being able to try these delicious pizza slices by the beach. If you're driving near Laguna beach and need a pizza spot to try..I highly recommend grazie grazie pizzas!!

  • It's hard to beat the experience of grabbing a delicious artisanal pizza from Grazie Grazie and walking down to the water to enjoy a few slices while watching the waves. The shop is simple and clean, minimal space and seating so recomend take out and a walk. The menu is full of bangers, the staff are kind and orders move quickly. Five out of five, best pizza in town.

  • Really solid pizza. Combined with friendly and welcoming staff, Grazie gets an all-around 5 stars without hesitation. Flavorful and balanced dough, great tomato sauce, high quality ingredients, fresh and delicious. Pizza’s are what I’d call Neapolitan “light” in that their not as dense and as a traditional neo but still totally amazing. Love this place and a perfect stop away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Laguna. It’s a must.

  • Margarita is my fav. Decided to try the Borata Truffle. Omg what a GEM. ALSO this is Italian flour. Means non hybrid its ancient grain. Organic AND non enriched with synthetic Iron B6 as carcinogen. 5 star all the way

  • I came here to try their pizzas and I was so glad I did. I got 4 different types because I wanted to try all the different toppings. My favorite was the burrata and truffles pizza along with the Blanco Verde (Pistachio honey and pesto) pizzas. I also enjoyed their classic sausage and Puglia pizza which had sausage, arugula, pecorino and Calabria chile~. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this pizza shop because I'm always in Laguna beach. I also ordered their classic salad which had a lovely lemon vinaigrette sauce in it. Their orange silicon soda from Italy was also a nice pair with all the carbs. I would definitely come back to try their other pizzas and tiramisu as well!!

  • Delicious 4.6 stars. Dough is chewy and cooked at the right temp with a perfect char, as good crust should be. Margarita pizza is delicious and full of flavor. Diavola pizza was not spicy and also good. The Belgian chocolate gelato was delicious as well and is made by a local legit Italian family gelato company called Filo's. Better than that touristy gelato in downtown Laguna. We ate at Diver's Cove Beach. Perfecto.
